Stain Remover - TARC1016

Stain Remover - TARC1016
Our Price: $10.99
Controlling dust mites can decrease the expression of some asthma symptoms and can diminish nonspecific bronchial hyper reactivity, according to Stephen Brunton and Richard Saphir of Stamford Hospital and Mount Sinai School of medicine. One method of control is the elimination of the food source. Mitchell et al. (1969) believed that mites probably fed primarily on dander (skin flakes) from humans and pets Additional information on possible food sources was provided by Van Bronswijk (1973) in an investigation of 470 dermtophagoides pteronyssinus from mattresses and from 147 from bedroom floors. The alimentary canals of dust mites contained pollen, spores of microorganisms, fungal mycelia, bacteria and fibers of plant origin. It has been shown that mites also thrive on dog meal. Thus, it has been shown that mites were not strictly momophagous on human skin scales. Helson (1971) suggested that ventilation and vacuum cleaning should be used to remove all dead mites, cast skins and fecal pellets. More recent information indicates this should be done on a weekly basis using a high powered vacuum cleaner equipped with HEPA filtration.

Both mites and their food sources thrive in soiled carpets. It is imperative that, in addition to removing vacuum removable soils, sticky food soils also be removed. The Allergy Relief Center’s Stain Remover is a powerful, yet gentle, spotter for carpet and fabrics. It is a water based formula that incorporates all natural surfactants, soybean solvent and active oxygen for safety and ease of use. Included in this formulation is linalool, a natural plant extract known to deter mites and kill fleas in all their life stages.

The essential oil (linalool) is a natural substance isolated from a perennial herb called wild bergamot. According to the US EPA Office of Pesticide Programs, no risk is associated with the use of this natural substance in food or elsewhere. In fact, the chemical is considered so safe that there is generally no need to set an upper limit on the amounts that can be found in food. According to the same publication, linalool can be used in dog and cat flea sprays and carpet products to kill adult flea’s larvae and eggs, and to repel insects such as mites, ticks and spiders.

The Allergy Relief Center’s Stain Remover can be used on synthetic and natural carpets, as well as on water cleanable upholstery and fine fabrics. It removes a wide variety of common spots and spills and when combined with regular vacuuming, this product will deprive mites of much of their food source and reduce their population concentration. 1Qt. (950ml)
